WHO WE ARE

The Friends of Detroit Rowing (FoDR) was organized in 1973 at the Detroit Boat Club as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the education of people about the sport of rowing in the Detroit metropolitan area and to sponsor elite rowing competition. Although that beginning led to a continuing friendship, the FODR and the DBC are unique and separate organizations that share no legal connection. Club memberships are not shared and there are no financial or other organizational connections between FODR and DBC.

Save The Date

Friends of Detroit Rowing Silent Auction "Crew” is gearing up for another great event! Our major annual fundraiser will be at the beautiful and historic Detroit Yacht Club just up the river from our boathouse. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 10th to enjoy an evening together with good friends, food and spirits. Together we can make this event a success. Bring family and friends and enjoy an evening together.

Our DBCC families have always been very generous with donations. Some ideas...

• Tickets to sporting events, concerts or shows
• Dinners or brunches at local restaurants or clubs

• A weekend at a cottage

Donations may be dropped off at the Seski home at 121 Merriweather in Grosse Pointe Farms. Please contact Barb Seski at bseski@comcast.net for drop off arrangements.
